J. R. Toren is a business law attorney and of counsel to the Minneapolis law firm of Coleman, Hull & van Vliet, PLLP. J.R.’s practice focuses upon advising clients on a range of business legal needs, from day-to-day general business matters to complex commercial transactions. His practice areas include commercial transactions, merger and acquisitions, and business law. He has significant experience in representing small businesses and closely-held corporations in all aspects of their legal and business needs, including corporate formation, buy-sell agreements, shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and contractual drafting (license, employment, non-compete, distributorship/sales, and independent contract agreements). Since 1984 he has practiced law both as a private practice attorney and as in-house legal counsel.
